I guess I should tell you all (listen to me, again with the assumption I have readers! Gah!) a little bit about myself if you've taken the time to stop by. So, with no further ado, the requisite "a little bit about me" post.
I am a freshman at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and hope to one day go into magazine writing (something along the lines of FN mag or Fitness would be ideal).
I am never happier than when I am in the kitchen with Michael Buble on my iTunes while I attempt to make a meal. I really love cooking and baking but am not a chef. I have developed very few recipes on my own but can follow and tweak with the best of them! I try to make myself a meal every other day, it is difficult in the dorm, but I am trying to make it work. The love I have for food grows every day, but hopefully my hips don't follow suit.
I am bound and determined to beat the Freshman 15! I have always been active and workout nearly everyday, but I also adore food (see above). A lot. This blog is going to serve as my sounding board for all things fitness related, my workouts or non-workouts and everything in between.
I watch way more TV than any self-respecting NU student ever should. But I can't help it, it is so good! And if The Big Bang is wrong, I don't want to be right.
I enjoy the following: reading, flea markets, scented candles, pumpkin flavored anything, shopping, high heels, and a good cup of coffee.
My family and friends are near and dear to my heart and nothing makes me happier than when I get to share the foods I make with them. It is one of the greatest pleasures in life.
Saying "I" over and over is making me feel self-conscious so this post is going to be finished and you'll just have to stay tuned to find out more!
